Koi

I wanted to do something pretty. Bet you didn't know I could do pretty, did you?

I started with the sunflower because they are my favorite flowers. Something about them just makes me happy. They're kinda awkard for flowers, don't you think? (Did you notice the soft texture for the stem and leaves?)

Then I added the blue background and it made the sunflower really pop out and it looked so pretty...

And then I added a koi. I was like "lol, that doesnt make any sense at all, but whater". Oh my gooses, I had so much fun painting the fish.. you have no idea. I was so pleased with the way they came out! I really like using the wet media brushes for painting but MORESO for smudging.

Then I did the wave.. I'm kinda wary of it.. Does it look like a wave?

But it's sorta just random japanese stuff together, isn't it? Hm.

Also the wood texture on the red structure looks fantastic to me. Haha. Gosh, I was so proud of myself when I finished that.

The lantern is my least favorite.
