Husband was playing "Red Dead Redemption" and little bunnies kept hopping across, and my doodle of a rabbit morphed into a rabbit with antlers, which is a Jackalope (which is definitely not real.) Also, the game takes place in the desert (and Jackalopes seem like desert animals, haha) and so I decided to do designs dedicated to the Mexican holiday Día de los Muertos.

The (poorly) translated spanish:
soy eterno= "i am eternal"
no puedo morir= "i am unable to die"

which I thought was fitting for a mythical creature decked out in designs made for remembrance. If someone knows spanish fluently and wants to correct my terrible grammar, please do!

I thought it would be a cool t-shirt, too.

Yep, jackalopes are definitely desert animals...this one's especially apropos this year, when it's year of the rabbit in Chinese zodiac.

First of all, I love Jackalopes xD And this one is just too adorable. I like to compliment the designs on the body, since they really make me think of the sugar skulls/calaveritas de azúcar which are a traditional candy for Día de Muertos.

Also it makes me think of alebrijes :)
